Okay, seriously, how has it been since 2017 that I updated the journal here?!?!?!

Because I'm a mom, a writer, and a dream chaser.

Dreams are hard to catch. They start invisible to all else but you. These little wiggling niggling ideas that manifest like entire worlds inside your mind. You have to make them take shape with your own hands and your will power. Then you have to hope Timing and Luck are on your side, because dreams only catch on if they are. If your timing or your luck is off then you just might have to let a dream go and start anew.

That's where I am, technically, chasing another dream.

Still writing, just working on a different story. I hope to one day get the story my characters/dolls are set in published, I believe it in. I think I might have accidentally made it into a horcrux so much of my heart and soul are in that story, in these dolls, these characters. But, I have other stories alive inside me, other worlds, other characters and they are demanding my attention now. I have to follow them and hope their paths will lead me down the path that eventually gets this story out there too.

Also, I've enjoyed the motherhood aspect of my life. It has been a pleasure and sometimes a challenge to raise a tiny human, but we're still going strong and my little one is growing. Eventually, soon, he'll be in school full-time, and I'll have more time to chase dreams. These past few years have been a greater joy than I ever imagined. Maybe when I do have more time for dreams, for hobbies, I'll have more time to update here, but I'm not going to make any promises. I have priorities and that's where I'll continue to focus my time.

Thank you for all the support and encouragement, especially in the BJD community. I still have my collection (even added a couple that I have not added to this site). You can see more updates on my MetaCynth youtube  Though, I've fallen behind on updating that too.    

All in all, I'm still around, still working hard at the important things, and still dreaming.
 

I'm still lurking here and there on dA.

I'm a mom full-time, a homemaker full-time, and a writer part-time. Which leaves me No-Time for my other hobbies or updating much here on dA. I'm not complaining. I know in another couple years my son will be in school and I'll all sorts of time. When that time comes I'm sure I'll think back to now and wonder how it went by so fast. So I'm putting my time and effort into the things that are important to me.

I do have a new video up on youtube, where I chat about my dolls/characters and how they are related to one another. The video offers some insight into the story I'm writing, as well as a glimps at my current doll collection. You can subscribe to me on youtube for more videos about my dolls. I try to update there when I can.

I haven't updated recently because of toddler-hood and writing, but I'm still around.

My dolls are being pampered with clothes and accessories that I really want to find time to photograph, but there are other, awesome things taking up my time. 

My baby boy isn't much of a baby anymore. He's already walking and starting to talk. He is a joy who takes up a big part of my life, so some other things have been pushed aside for when I can dedicate time to them. I still have grandiose plans for my hobbies, be it art or dolls, but little man and writing comes first.

It's been a roller-coaster of a year, but I am so happy with all that I've gone through.

My son will soon be a year old, and despite the challenges he is developing on track for his actual age, which is amazing. He's very strong and amazing.

Every day is a new adventure. It's like watching the world unfold for the first time through his eyes.

I participated in NaNoWriMo for the first time this year. I'm still working on the project. It turned into something bigger than I expected, which is usually how these things go.

I'm writing the story of Alastyre and Artunnus:



It's darker and grittier than I realized. There is so much these two face, and as a writer I am really putting them through a lot. I can't believe how the story is unfolding, and I'm determined to see it through.


Writing, being a mom, and taking care of adult responsibilities have taken up a lot of my time. I do have a few updates around the web:
